The BLM

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is one of the government agencies that is in charge of administering public lands. In the Quartzsite area, the BLM has a number of areas designated as short term camping (14 day) areas that have no fees to use, but have no facilities. There are also four Long Term Visitor Areas (LTVA) that require payment, but have access to water, dump stations, and dumpsters.

The Magic Circle resides in the LaPosa South LTVA. About 2 miles from the Magic Circle, the BLM maintains 8 water stations, two dump stations, and a trash dumpster area.

At this time, the winter fees for the LTVAs are $40.00 for a two week stay, and $180.00 for a seasonal pass which allows use from September 15 until April 15. Water stations, dump stations, and trash disposal are paid for by these fees.
